Available: Sep 10 thru Oct 20 Cost: Per Hunter: $12,950.00 For years now we have had a 6 point or larger restriction on elk, so large bulls keep getting more numerous. Our season runs from Sept. 10 to Oct. 20, with the rut peaking mid. to late September. This means great rutting activity throughout the season. If you are looking for a fair chase hunt for elk in the rut, you have found it. Findlay Creek is noted for constantly being one of the top producers in both number and caliber of elk in our region. Bull's in the 270 to 350 Boone & Crocket class are to be expected and they will be bugling. The mountains are steep but the trophy is worth it when your hunting mountain goat. Usually we hunt goat from Basecamp on a Semi-remote basis, though Remote hunts are an option. Glassing from the vehicle or horse until a good Billy is spotted, then a 3 to 4 hour hike to get in position, makes for a challenging hunt. Record book goat live on our mountains, if you are willing to go get them. Expect Billy's in the 9 inch to 10 1/2 inch range.
